ABOUT THE BEARS
Bearly Saints are unique, hand-made, collectible teddy bears dressed in the traditional garb of the saints they depict.  In a variety of ways, these collectible "friends" do a saintly job of reminding us about the thousands of real saints who have made heavenly intercession for us through the ages.  From St. Adalbald of Ostrevant (patron saint of parents of large families) to St. Zita (patron saint of maids, servants, and single lay women), there's an interceding saint for everyone, and a Bearly Saint too.

Each Bearly Saint comes with a collectible bear-sized quilt that reveals something of the life of the saint.  They emphasize the symbolism, theme, meaning, or patronage associated with each saint. The quilts make lovely wall-hangings.  A little biography of the featured saint is included with the Bearly Saints package as well.

The saints are role models for us.  At a glance, even while they make us smile at the way they portray their heavenly counterparts, Bearly Saints can remind us very gently of those whom we are supposed to emulate.

And of course the saints are powerful sources of guidance, inspiration and hope. On those days when Heaven seems very far away and barely accessible, we can be reminded that the saints are"bearly " accessible through these artful, collectible bear and quilt combinations.

They're Bearly Saints, and they remind us in a wonderful way of our heavenly friends who want to help us get home.

The bears (unless otherwise noted) are approximately 18" and are made of 100% acrylic fur, stuffed with 100% polyester, and are non-jointed.  Although they are made with child-safety eyes, some of the accessories may present a choking hazard, so these bears are not recommended as toys for small children.

Every bear is unique.  I make each one individually. Even "duplicates" of a Bearly Saint will not be identical due to the variety of fabrics I use.

Bearly Saints is dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe.  The name "Bearly Saints" became available (for trademark purposes) on December 9, the feast day of St. Juan Diego to whom Our Lady appeared in 1531.
